Christmas

Mom and Grace snuck into the living room while I was taking a shower to sneak a peak under the tree.

Grandma Carroll and Aunt Moira and Morgan came over for a Christmas breakfast. Later, Grandpa Funke, Uncle Shockey, and Aunt Mary Ellen came over to watch Grace open her presents.

Jake got to try out Grace's new tent/house/gym thingy before she did.

Grace got a bunch of new books to read.

Grace loves her new play tent.

After 3 days of excitement in a row, Grace finally started to wear down a little and opening presents wasn't as much fun as it was the day before.

Grandma and Grandpa Bihun brought Grace a few presents to climb on.

Grace put on her fancy dress again to take a picture with Grandma and Grandpa Bihun.

It was getting late and Grace was getting a little hungry.

Christmas Eve

The day started at Grandma and Grandpa Funke's house where we ate biscuits and Gravy and opened presents.

Grace enjoyed her toy steering wheel. It makes lots of noise.

For some reason, Jake found this position to be comfortable. There were three other dogs there so I think he would have been comfortable in any position so long as it was away from them.

Another toy that makes lots of noise. So far, she mostly like sucking on the drumsticks and hasn't figured out how to bang the drum yet.

Grandpa was in charge of throwing away the used wrapping paper which was really the only thing in the room Grace cared about.

Then it was off to Grandma and Grandpa Bihun's house for a Christmas Eve Dinner. Grace played with some of her new toys from the morning.

Jake was made to dress up as a Christmas Jester for some reason.

After dinner it was back home to wrap a couple gifts, set up one of Grace's new toys under the tree, and hopefully get some sleep.

Christmas Eve Eve Dinner at the University Club

We just got back from our annual Christmas Eve Eve dinner. This year, we ate downtown at The University Club. Grace was, of course, an angel and much better behaved than she would have been had we eaten at home. Uncle Shockey was still snowed in back in Colorado but we hope to see him on Christmas morning. Tomorrow morning we go to Grandma and Grandpa Funke's house for our first of two visits from Santa and quite possibly, her first taste of biscuits and gravy.

I highly reccomend the bread. Grace feeding herself for the first time. Feeding herself food that is.

Grace sat in her portable high chair and entertained herself and those around her for the whole meal.
