All things considered, I'd rather be in Philadelphia

Papa had some miles to burn so he and Baba and Grace and Mom went to Philadelphia for a long weekend.

Playing with the boats at the Crayola factory.

A giant crayon.

Color a lizard with Baba.

She was amused that the stuffed chickens had stuffed eggs.

Sleeping in a big girl bed.

The Sesame Street building.

Giving "Fookie Monster" a hug.

Posing in front of the Liberty Bell.

Going on the up and down ride.

Eating her first sucker.

Olivia also wants to color with Grace too, only she wants to use the big red crayon (aka the giant one). She also correctly identified Sesame Street as where Cookie lives before she saw Cookie. It looks like Philadelphia does have a lot to do for kids. Too bad we're skipping out on Thanksgiving there and heading out to NC instead.

Seriously, it looks like it was a fun trip. Both Olivia and I were surprised that Grace went on (and liked!) the up and down Elmo ride. We watched the video about three times before I said, enough....I was getting kinda dizzy watching.

Cheers!

It's funny because if you watch the video, she clearly didn't like it that much the first time it dropped but if you listen carefully, the first thing she says when it stops is, "again!"

I think the Sesame Street park is seasonal so it might not even be open at Thanksgiving. There were some water rides as well that wouldn't really be fun in late November weather.

Lisa said Grace liked the Crayola factory when they were doing things but the tour/presentations were boring for her.

There will be coloring at the Halloween party but no big crayons unfortunately.
